27th Annual Bluebird Festival - CANCELLED due to Covid-19 virus

Join us at Wills Point, the Bluebird Capital of Texas, for the 27th Annual Bluebird Festival. Texas Bluebird Society will be in Booths BB and 57.

From the Bluebird Bus Tour Depot near the train depot, Paul Nelson will lead free bus tours to see bluebird nestboxes at Lake Tawakoni State Park. Watch for bluebirds along the beautiful route while listening to a presentation about Eastern Bluebirds in Texas.

The bus will be departing every 90 minutes, starting at 9:00 am, with the last tour at 1:30 pm. Ticket distribution will begin at 8:45 am.

From our other nearby Texas flag canopy, Texas Bluebird Society's 'One Nestbox' offer will be available - a gift of a free nestbox with a contribution of $20 for a new TBS membership. Renewing members can purchase a nest box for $10 upon renewing membership. Subject to availability, nestboxes may be purchased for $25 including sales tax.

Migratory Bird Fest - CANCELLED due to Covid-19 virus
Mitchell Lake Audubon Center

Celebrate the 27th annual World Migratory Bird Day with Mitchell Lake Audubon Center, located 15 miles south of San Antonio (see map). This family friendly festival will offer bird-themed activities, a native plant sale, nature-based vendors, a live bird of prey show, and presentations about birds.

Visit the TBS booth to share this season's information about the Eastern Bluebird in Texas. The TBS 'One Nestbox' offer will be available at this event - a gift of a free nestbox with a contribution of $20 for a new TBS membership. Renewing members can purchase a nest box for $10 upon renewing membership.

Admission is free. No dogs are allowed, except for service animals.
